New Book Takes On Zero Tolerance Fervor In Schools

In a recent AP article about security in school systems, Annette Fuentes new book Lockdown High levels some real criticism at the state of security and procedures of school systems. The need for security in school systems is apparent in the modern world, and there is determinately a line to be drawn between security and overly invasive systems. Next Generation Security recognizes that security for a school system can be implemented in a non invasive secure and  supportive role. This books topic may become a highly controversial topic in the years to come, but it does address the need for a security plan in an educational environment to not be simply cut and pasted from a prison environment. There are different issues and concerns at stake and they need to be addressed within the scope of what an educational environment is meant to foster.
